Former Danske Fragtmænd carrier Flemming Werner Jensen has passed away
6 October 2025
It is with great sadness that we have received the news that our former colleague and carrier, Flemming Werner Jensen, has passed away at the age of 70 after a long illness.
For many years, Flemming owned and operated Sax-Trans A/S, where he ran his business with great dedication. He understood the value of local customers and close relationships, and he knew that community was the foundation of everything.
Danske Fragtmænd was close to his heart – both as a company and as an idea.
Flemming served on Danske Fragtmænd’s board for a total of 14 years, leaving a clear and lasting mark. He was well-prepared, committed, and thorough. He asked the right questions and sought solutions that strengthened our shared community. His integrity and ability to see the bigger picture made a strong impression on everyone who worked with him.
His commitment extended far beyond Danske Fragtmænd. For 24 years, he was a member of the board of ATL – Danish Transport and Logistics Association – longer than anyone else in the association’s history. Here, he contributed with insight, professional strength, and a genuine desire to advance the industry. He always came well-prepared, argued clearly, and had a rare ability to bring people together around what created progress.
He also left his mark on the Confederation of Danish Industry’s main board, its executive committee, and the board of the Confederation of Danish Employers. He worked to ensure decent conditions for employees and strong frameworks for employers. The balance between these interests mattered deeply to him, and he was respected for his fairness and ability to see issues from multiple perspectives.
Many will remember him for his warm smile, calm nature, and the kind twinkle in his eye.
Flemming will be deeply missed – as a colleague, as a voice in the industry, and as the person he was.
May he rest in peace.
