Transport company terminates cooperation with temp agency

20 June 2025

Danske Fragtmænd has terminated its cooperation with a temp agency with immediate effect due to concerns about whether proper documentation was in place for temporary workers at a terminal in Hvidovre.

Danske Fragtmænd employs a total of 1,100 people. In addition to permanent staff, the company’s terminal in Hvidovre has used a small number of temporary workers hired through an external agency.

“Although we had a contract with a temp agency that guaranteed the temporary workers they provided complied with Danish legislation, we have lost trust in the agency and have therefore terminated the agreement with immediate effect,” says Jakob Flyvbjerg Christensen, CEO of Danske Fragtmænd.

The company received a tip through its whistleblower system and internal channels indicating that some temps from the agency might not have proper documentation. Based on these concerns, Danske Fragtmænd initiated a review in collaboration with external advisors. However, before this internal investigation was completed, authorities carried out a raid last night at the Hvidovre terminal, where four temporary workers were taken into custody by police.

As a result of the overall course of events, Danske Fragtmænd has ended its cooperation with the temp agency with immediate effect.

“It is important that all applicable rules are followed, and we have full confidence that the authorities will now carry out a thorough investigation to determine whether any laws have been broken. Naturally, we will cooperate fully with the authorities and provide all the information we can. We share a clear interest in uncovering any illegal activity,” says Jakob Flyvbjerg Christensen.
